From a balcony vantage point, you can see the different pits where the workers wash and remove the hair from the skins before polishing them with different colors produced from natural products. Later, after curing and sun-drying the hides are turned into shoes, clothing, handbags, wallets. all on sale here at much reduced prices. You'll also get to visit the Fes potteries, featuring the blue and white styles of Fes as well as a thousand other designs. You'll see the pottery being produced and learn about the methods employed in the design, manufacture and painting. Next is the Berber Carpets Cooperative where the most amazing hand-made carpets, rugs, and mats are produced by skilled tradesmen.
