Embalse El Yeso
The El Yeso reservoir, as its name indicates, is an artificial lagoon created by a dam on the Yeso River (a tributary of the Maipo River), as I mentioned before, it is in the interior of the Andes Mountains and only 73 kilometers from Santiago.
If you do not have time to visit Patagonia, these landscapes are very similar to the snowdrifts in the south of Chile.

Monumento Natural El Morado
El Morado Natural Monument is a Chilean Natural Monument located in the Cajón del Maipo, Metropolitan Region of Santiago. The monument is a glacial cirque and is part of the Volcán river basin. El Morado Hill dominates the landscape of this protected area.
