We ride by the large Fushimi Inari Tori gate, the entrance to one of Kyoto's most popular Shrines.
2
Tofuku-ji Temple
We get off the bikes and walk through one of Kyoto’s great Zen temples. Known for its dramatic valley, wooden bridges, and gardens, Tofukuji is beautiful year-round but especially stunning in autumn.
5 minutes
3
Sennyuji Temple
Sennyuji is a less-visited temple complex deeply tied to the Imperial family. The peaceful grounds offer excellent views and an intimate, spiritual atmosphere.
15 minutes
4
Maruyama Park
We explore the scenic Maruyama Park, one of Kyoto's famous gardens.
5 minutes
5
Nanzen-ji Temple
We ride deeper into the eastern hills toward Nanzenji, one of Kyoto’s most important Zen temples. Its spacious grounds, towering Sanmon Gate, and the historic brick aqueduct create some of Kyoto’s most photogenic scenes.
10 minutes
6
Kamogawa River
We finish the loop by cruising along Kyoto’s iconic Kamo River cycling path. This gentle route allows for relaxed riding with open views of the river and Kyoto's iconic Gion architecture.
