BUDDHA KIRI CAMBODIA
In reality, there are already over 20,000 Buddha statues - out of the planned 84,000! 2,000 gold-plated Buddhas alone line the 199 steps to the 10-meter statue that towers over the one below in the Puth Kiri Pagoda, while thousands of other Buddhas meditate.

the Ta Prohm temple at Tonle Bati was a sanctuary for Hindu deities at the same time. The site had been a Hindu place of worship already since the sixth century, in the pre-Angkorian Phnom-Da period, belonging to the maritime “empire” called Funan.

Tonle Bati is a small lake about 30 km south of Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. It is a popular weekend destination for the local population. It is also a popular fishing spot for both tourists and people who live locally.
