Pickup from Delhi Hotel/Airport and drive to Agra. On arrival in Agra, meet your tour guide and drive to Agra Fort. Agra Fort construction was started by Akbar in 1565 and completed in1573. It is arranged on the west bank of the Yamuna River, about 2km upstream from the Taj Mahal (outline).

The tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah is the forerunner to the Taj Mahal as it was built by Nur Jahan for her dad, Mirza Ghiyas Baig (likewise called "the mainstay of the state" or Itimad-ud-Daulah) in the years 1622-1628, it was built 5 years before development of the Taj Mahal started.
