The Basilica of San Simplicio, in Olbia, is the most important and ancient religious monument in northeastern Sardinia and a testimony to the spread of Christianity on the island. Cathedral until 1839, parish church since 1955, it was given the title of minor basilica, in 1993, by Pope John Paul II.
It is dedicated to St. Simplicio, protobishop of the city and martyr under Emperor Diocletian.

The aqueduct of Olbia was built by the Romans between the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. C., to collect water from the springs of Mount Cabu Abas.
Next to the aqueduct, a large settling tank was built, carved completely into the stone and equipped with six holes for ventilation. On the sides of the cistern there are two other smaller tanks and a water inlet and outlet well. On the arches you can still see the water transport channels.
It is the best preserved archaeological site of the Roman age in Sardinia.
