Saint Catherine
After admiring the sunrise from Mount Sinai, the excursion continues with a visit to St. Catherine's Monastery. Early in the morning, you will begin the descent toward the monastery, the oldest Christian monastery in the world, built in 550 AD. Here, you will admire the Holy Burning Bush, the Chapel of the Transfiguration Church, Moses' Well (where it is said he met his beloved wife), the library, and a vast collection of artifacts, icons, and historical manuscripts. To complete the Mount Sinai excursion without issues, you must be reasonably fit and physically prepared for trekking. We recommend comfortable clothing and sturdy trekking shoes; we will provide you with a flashlight.
