However, this is not a walk for the fainthearted; it is a strenuous hike of about 1h30 up tp 2 hours for which you need strong, non-slip walking shoes. You may prefer to stay in the village to drink mint tea and explore Setti Fatma's villages in the Ourika valley.

After will continue to climb upwards until you leave the main road at an altitude of over 2000 meters. Then we will follow an ancient, partly paved Berber track to reach the Sidi Fares valley an authentic area famous for apple trees, here you will have lunch in a Berber house in a village overlooking the Atlas Mountains. The food will be homemade and organic: tomato salad, chicken tagine, couscous and fruits. If you are vegetarian, please let us know in advance. After lunch we will head off for the greener Asni valley where orchards lined the route. You can also admire the Mount Toubkal: the highest peak in Northern Africa culminating at 4167 meters, and often snowcapped.
