But for me, the best way of understanding a culture is through its food. In Spain, it all starts in the produce market. So that's what we’ll visit: the local market in my neighbourhood. Just 10 minutes walking from Plaza Mayor, in La Latina. Here, we'll go through the stands -and the history- that shape our cuisine. This is the oldest market in Madrid. We'll walk through the market stands of the market: butcher, fishmonger, fruit shop, etc.

La Latina
Continue the market tour with a pairing meal. In my Tapas & Wine Pairing, we travel across Spain without leaving the table — from Asturias to Valencia, through sips of vermú, cider, PX sherry, and wines you won’t find on touristy menus.
Dessert of horchata and fartons included.
In summer, you can also join our Cocktail Pairing Dinner with drinks like rebujito, agua de Valencia, and sangría — all paired with tapas like seafood paella, Spanish cheeses and iberian croquetas. Dessert of churros with turrón ice cream included.
