Once you’ve selected your preferred type of wood, you’ll shape it using a traditional Japanese hand plane (kanna). Afterward, simply refine the shape with sandpaper to create your finished piece. Even beginners and children can enjoy making authentic chopsticks in about an hour.
One of the highlights of the experience is feeling the changing texture of the wood with every stroke while learning a traditional craft from skilled artisans.
