Important Information about Machu Picchu:
The Peruvian Ministry of Culture has updated the visiting rules for Machu Picchu, dividing entrance hours into two sessions:
AM Entrance: 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
PM Entrance: 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Visitors must leave the site within their assigned time slot and are not allowed re-entry once they exit. Those who fail to comply will be escorted out by the appropriate authorities.
For the full-day tour, the visiting time begins when the check-in at Machu Picchu is completed. For example, if entry is at 9:00 a.m., you may remain in the park until 1:00 p.m., which allows ample time to explore this amazing site.
5
Aguas Calientes
After your visit, take the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Then, board the train for the return journey to the station in Ollantaytambo, where you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco.
Please Note: Train times may vary depending on booking and will be confirmed according to the train company’s timetable and availability.
