Kings Canyon National Park
Today we’ll depart from Los Angeles and drive to Imperial Valley National Park. Situated on the western side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, this park is considered one of California’s twin jewels, beautifully nestled within the mountain range. We’ll spend the night in Fresno.
Imperial Valley National Park, located in eastern California’s Sierra Nevada, is celebrated for its sheer cliffs and dramatic canyons. The landscape features sweeping elevations and striking terrain, largely covered in dense forest. Towering sequoias, cascading waterfalls, and lush vegetation define much of the scenery. The park is home to the largest remaining grove of redwoods and preserves one of the world’s most ancient giant forests, where some of the tallest trees on Earth continue to stand majestically.
