Thames River
We will enjoy beautiful views of the River Thames throughout the trip and will also cross under it, using the Thames Tunnel, built between 1825 and 1843 by Marc Brunel and his son Isambard. This remarkable feat of engineering was the first tunnel of its kind under a navigable river.
Today, the tunnel is part of the East London Line on the London Underground.
