Tour in Lima, Ciudad de los Reyes, a city with 4 thousand years of history. capital of Peru, a country with 14,000 years of food history.
We will walk through the damero of Pizarro and its surroundings, understanding how historical processes, migrations and cultural encounters shaped a unique Creole cuisine, a living reflection of Peruvian society.
During the walk we will learn, share and enjoy flavors that were born of these processes: pre-Hispanic heritages, European, African and Asian contributions, and a gastronomic identity that never stopped transforming.

Museo de Arte Italiano
We started the tour at the Museum of Italian Art, a symbol of the friendship between Peru and Italy. From this point, you will enjoy views of historic and monumental buildings, as we explore how European migrations have influenced Lima’s architecture and culture. A perfect start to delve into the history, gastronomy and traditions of Lima.

Museo de Arqueologia Josefina Ramos de Cox
We will visit the Josefina Ramos de Cox Museum, located in historic Plaza Francia, to discover the influence of French migration in Peru. Lima is revealed as a millennial city, founded on important pre-Inca lordships, long before the arrival of the Spanish. Among huacas, archaeological remains and historical artifacts, you will learn about Lima’s cultural and gastronomic richness, and how history has shaped the city’s urban life to the present day.

San Martin Square, an emblematic place where history, architecture and cultural memory combine, preamble to the closure of a gastronomic and cultural trip through ancient and modern Lima.

Casa de La Cultura Criolla - Rosa Mercedes Ayarza
Explore the Rosa Mercedes Ayarza House Museum, a space dedicated to preserving and celebrating Lima’s Creole culture. Discover the artistic expressions, music and customs that have endured over time and are part of Lima’s soul. You will learn how gastronomy, music and traditions intertwine, showing that there is no good jarana without good food and good music. Founded in 1923, the Carbone Winery is an icon of traditional Lima. We will taste its famous ham sandwich of the country, symbol of the historical Creole gastronomy, and learn stories that connect generations of Limeños with this emblematic still life. (Tasting included)

In this historic cafeteria, we will learn about Austro-German migration and enjoy a masterclass on coffee types and processes. An experience that combines history, flavor and interactive learning. (Tasting included)

Café "Pancho Fierro"
We will make a short visit of 5 minutes to the home of the celebrated watercolorist Pancho Fierro, whose graphic records allow us to know the life and customs of the end of the Viceroyalty and the beginning of the Republic.

Hotel Maury
We will visit the Maury Hotel, founded in 1828 by a French migrant, where we will learn about the history of the Pisco Sour and the legendary bartender Bruiget. You can rest while enjoying a complimentary pisco sour, prepared in the same place where the recipe was created that many bars in Lima reproduce today. The English-style bar is decorated with paintings by the majestic painter José Sabogal, an icon of Peruvian indigenism.

We will walk through Lima’s Chinese, sharing about Asian migration (Japanese and China) also tasting street food and seeing how street commerce and markets have been part of Lima’s life from pre-Hispanic times to today, linking history and flavor in every street.

National Afro-Peruvian Museum
We will learn about the legacy of African migration, which has given color, flavor and rhythm to Lima’s Creole culture, including gastronomy, music, dance and other artistic and religious expressions.

Prehispanic Municipal Museum
Here we will explore the most emblematic pre-Hispanic cultures of Peru, its ceramics and huacos. We will learn about the magical and religious importance of food in the ancient world and how these traditions that are the root of our Peruvian gastronomy continue to this day to receive influences creating new dishes and flavors.
