Begin at this hilltop Buddhist pilgrimage site from ancient times. Soak in sweeping views of the valley, stroll with monkeys, and absorb the rich symbolism behind all-seeing eyes, whirling prayer wheels, and surrounding shrines.

Patan Durbar Square
Patan Durbar Square is situated at the Centre of the city of Lalitpur in Nepal. It is one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This square is a treasure house of ancient art and architecture/ preparations of buffaloes blood, curd, butter and red powder. The compound is a conglomeration of stone structures – some dating to the Licchavi period (5th to 8th century) – and more recent chaityas and shrines as well as images of various deities.
