Itinerary
1
Kamikōchi
After meeting with your tour conductor at Nagoya Station, we’ll embark on a scenic journey to Kamikochi, one of Japan’s premier mountain resorts. Known for its untouched natural beauty, Kamikochi is inaccessible by private car, making it a perfect destination for those who enjoy hiking.
For this tour, you’ll enjoy a mini hike along a well-maintained, unpaved path. There are 2 possible drop-off points: the iconic Taisho Pond for those seeking a more extended walk along the Azusa River (approximately 4 km, 80 mins to Kappa Bridge), or the Kamikochi Bus Terminal for those who prefer a more relaxed visit, where you can stroll around the famous Kappa Bridge area. Either way, you’ll be immersed in stunning mountain views and tranquil surroundings.
It is recommended to wear comfortable hiking shoes (trekking shoes or light climbing boots) and bring a windbreaker or jacket, as temperatures can vary. A small backpack, raincoat, and sun protection (hat, sunglasses) are also recommended.
