Jaisalmer
You will be picked up from your hotel in Jaisalmer at 09:30 A.M. in an air-conditioned vehicle. First enjoy breakfast in a local restaurant in Jaisalmer. (Beverage Excluded).
After breakfast continue to Bhatia Shop with your guide. The shop is situated in the heart of the old city. Under the guidance of the local baker and his team learn how to prepare the small balls called Ghotua. Seasoned with dry fruits and finally molded into a ball shape. Most common varieties include Boondi Laddoo, Besan Laddoo, Moti Choor Laddoo and Rawa Laddoo.
The traditional sweet of Jaisalmer, Ghotua Laddoo is a sweet delicacy prepared by deep-frying the Boondi (tiny droplets made from gram flour batter) in pure Desi Ghee (clarified butter), then soaked in the sugar syrup, crushed with pestle, seasoned with cardamom powder and saffron and bound in round ball shapes.
Enjoy tasting these historic, regional delicacies.
Upon conclusion you will be taken back to your Jaisalmer hotel.
