You will be picked up from your hotel in Jaipur in an air conditioned vehicle and driven to Sanganer, a small town just outside the city. Upon arrival, you will visit the Sakshi factory where you will see how the traditional blue pottery is made. The pottery is glazed and then fired at a low temperature. The basic design incorporates animals or birds. Other colors such as yellow and brown are also used. Some of the pottery designs are semi-translucent and decorated with small pieces of mirror glass as well as with different colored glass powder.
