Grand Narrows
The Grand Narrows Bridge, often called the Barra Strait Bridge, is a fascinating piece of history in Cape Breton. Built with a swing section that pivots open for boats, it stretches about 516 meters (1,693 feet) across the Barra Strait. When it opened in 1891, it proudly held the title of Canada’s longest railway bridge.

Wentworth Park
Wentworth Park is Sydney’s oldest park, dating back to 1786.
The land was once a swamp, but in the late 1800s it was filled in and turned into the beautiful park you see today.
It’s named after William Wentworth, a Canadian statesman. Also called in as the Duckie pond. It has a dome where all the local musicians come and play on every thursday evening.
