After scenic driving , you'll arrive in Interlaken, the heart of tourism in the Bernese Oberland region. Begin your city tour at Bahnhofstrasse, then cross river and explore the old town. Continue on to Höheweg, a charming shopping promenade. Take a moment to relax at Höhematte and enjoy the sight of paragliders soaring with the majestic Jungfrau massif in the background.
The local mountain, Harder Kulm, offers a breathtaking bird's-eye view of Interlaken and the surrounding mountain landscape. You'll have the opportunity to take a cable car up to Harder Kulm (available from April till November) and enjoy a short walking tour of the city, perhaps even tasting the world-famous Swiss hot chocolate. Interlaken is uniquely located between two stunning lakes, Thunersee and Brienzersee, and has been featured in several films due to its magnificent panorama.
