Hakone Shrine / Kuzuryu Shrine Singu
The underwater torii of Hakone Shrine is one of the most popular ‘Instagram’ spots in Hakone.
It is visited by many people, including foreign tourists, every day.
This underwater torii was built 67 years ago, in 1952, to commemorate His Majesty the Emperor Imajo's Risshiki Rei and the signing of the Peace Treaty at the time of Japan's independence.
