The museum contains thousands of ancient artifacts that tell the story of Egypt’s rich civilization. One of its most famous sections is dedicated to the treasures of King Tutankhamun. For the first time, all of his treasures are displayed together in one place. These treasures include his golden mask, jewelry, chariots, statues, and many personal items that were found inside his tomb in 1922. The golden mask is especially famous because it is made of solid gold and detailed craftsmanship. It is one of the most beautiful and valuable artifacts in history. The museum uses modern technology to present the artifacts in an attractive and educational way. Valley Temple of Khafre
The Valley Temple of King Khafre is one of the most remarkable architectural monuments on the Giza Plateau. Built at the eastern edge of the pyramid complex, it served as the ceremonial gateway where the king’s mummified body was received before being taken along the causeway to the pyramid. The temple was constructed from massive blocks of pink granite and fine limestone, carefully polished to create a sense of permanence and grandeur. Its layout includes a central open hall surrounded by tall square pillars and side chambers that were likely used for ritual preparations and sacred objects. Inside, several royal statues were discovered, including a famous diorite figure of Khafre seated firmly on his throne, embodying authority and divine protection. The architectural design reveals a thoughtful use of light, as narrow openings allowed sunlight to filter in, enhancing the solemn atmosphere of the space.
