Itinerary
Starting in central Old Goa near the Viceroy's Arch, open the Explorial app and enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message. You're standing at the symbolic gateway of a city that was once the wealthiest port in Asia.
Your first landmark is the Church of St. Cajetan, built in the 17th century by Italian friars in imitation of St. Peter's in Rome — a domed Baroque masterpiece rising improbably from the tropical landscape.
From there the app takes you to the Chapel of St. Catherine of Alexandria, built to mark the Portuguese conquest of Goa in 1510 and later elevated to cathedral status — one of the oldest Christian buildings in Asia.
