【Private tour by a local guide】 I was born and grew up near Fushimi Inari Taisha. I am not a foreigner. So I have known the Fushimi Inari shrine since I was a boy.
Now Fushimi Inari shrine is one of the most popular places to visit, but there are too many people around and it is like an amusement park. I would like you to feel the nature and peace here as the locals used to. I am a local who knows this mountain's courses very well and many beautiful hiking paths are hidden, they are not on the official map.
If you like to know places that are not crowded in Kyoto, feel free to ask me. Welcome any questions about Japan, Shrine, & Zen Buddhism as well.
I also own my tour agency, Tour Ben...

Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
Let's hike a beautiful unknown way to Fushimi Inari shrine, inside a big mountain. There are so many paths including a dangerous way to higher sites. Nowadays the main roads are extremely crowded and have no peace, although it is a spiritual place. I will show you a secret path with bamboos at the backside of the shrine. In other places, bamboo streets are a famous Japanese symbol that is full of tourists, too. But here I can show you that it is not like that. Fushimi Inari shrine had been a silent and calm place for many years until it became as famous as it is today. But there is still some territory that has not yet been discovered by tourists because it is not easy to find it by them and once you got lost there, it would be hard to come back. It is the way locals take, and I will show you.
If you have a request for your most convenient time or date, feel free to ask me to adjust my schedule. I'll flexibly fit your schedule. Any requests on short notice are welcome too.
