To begin the tour to Waqrapukara, we will be picked up from our hotel at 4:00 a.m. From there, we will head south to admire the Pomacanchi Lagoon.
Continuing our tour, we will arrive at Sangarará, where we will have breakfast. We will then continue to the community of Rinconada, the starting point of the hike to Waqrapukara.
During the hike, we will observe a wide variety of flora and fauna typical of the area. Upon arriving at the Waqrapukara archaeological site, we will visit the following sites: Intipunku (Sun Gate), the main plaza, towers, terraces, the Wiracocha site, and the cave paintings.
After the visit, we will return to Sangarará, where we will have lunch. Finally, we will board the transport that will take us back to Cusco.
