The town of Pisac is known for its archaeological complex and for its beautiful artisan market where you can find crafts to vegetables and fruits grown in the valley.

Pisac
The Inca archaeological complex of Pisac is one of the best in Peru. Its construction was carried out during the government of the Inca Pachacutec in the 15th century. After the arrival of the Spanish to Cusco in the 16th century, Pisac was invaded, forcing its inhabitants to flee. Many of the original structures of the Inca archaeological site are in good condition.

Ollantaytambo, a typical example of urban planning of the Incas still inhabited like in the past. You will find here a great archaeological complex called fortress although it was a tambo, a resting and lodging place for long distance travellers.
