Imlil
As you set out on your adventurous day hike in the Atlas Mountains, the crisp mountain air fills your lungs, and the anticipation of the journey ahead energizes you. Departing from your Marrakech hotel or Riad, the scenic drive takes you through winding roads and picturesque landscapes until you arrive at Imlil, the gateway to the High Atlas Mountains.
At Imlil, you meet your knowledgeable guide who will lead you on this expedition. Together, you embark on the trail toward the Talamrout peak, standing majestically at 2700 meters above sea level. The first leg of the journey takes you through the village of Tamaterte, where you catch glimpses of traditional Berber life amidst the rugged terrain.

Talamrout Summit 2616m
As you ascend further, the trail meanders through a lush pine forest, offering respite from the sun and a chance to immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature. Along the way, you pause to admire the panoramic vistas unfolding before you, with the valleys of Imlil and Tachedirt stretching out below, and the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains looming in the distance.
Reaching the Tizi N’Tamaterte pass at 2279 meters, you take a moment to catch your breath and soak in the breathtaking scenery. From here, the path winds its way up the mountainside, leading you ever closer to your ultimate destination.
As you continue your ascent, the landscape changes, giving way to rugged terrain and rocky outcrops. With each step, you draw nearer to the summit, fueled by a sense of adventure and determination.
Finally, after a challenging but exhilarating climb, you reach the pinnacle of Talamrout peak.

Standing atop this majestic summit, you are rewarded with sweeping panoramas that stretch as far as the eye can see. The sheer beauty of the landscape leaves you awe-struck, as you take in the pristine wilderness that surrounds you.
After pausing to savor the moment and capture some memories, you begin your descent, retracing your steps back to Imlil. where you will have lunch in a Berber family house before you head back to Marrakech
