ARoS Aarhus Art Museum
The museum was founded in 1859 and is Denmark's oldest public art museum outside of Copenhagen. It launched in 2004 with displays in a fresh new modern facility, and it is now one of Northern Europe's largest art museums. In addition to the enormous galleries with both permanent and changing exhibitions, there is an art shop, a dining café, and a restaurant. ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum is Denmark's second most visited museum, thanks to the circular skywalk "Your rainbow panorama" by Olafur Eliasson, which was completed in 2011.

The Viking Museum is a small underground museum in the heart of Aarhus, located at Sankt Clemens Torv beneath the Nordea bank building, which was built in 1968. The museum includes information about Viking Age Aarhus in general, as well as copies of artifacts on exhibit at the considerably bigger Moesgaard Museum to the south of Aarhus.
