Itinerary
1
Piazza del Duomo
The beating heart of Florence is undoubtedly Piazza del Duomo, one of the most iconic and photographed places in the world. Here stand three masterpieces of religious architecture: the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery of San Giovanni, and Giotto’s Bell Tower. This entire complex offers a perfect synthesis of the city’s artistic and spiritual development from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance.
30 minutes
2
Piazza della Repubblica
In the heart of Florence’s historic centre, just a few steps from the Duomo, lies Piazza della Repubblica, a broad and airy space that perhaps more than any other reflects the city’s transformation over the centuries. Today an elegant urban salon, the square was for a long time the hub of Florence’s social, political, and economic life in ancient times.
30 minutes
3
Piazza della Signoria
Piazza della Signoria is without doubt the centre of political power and public life in Florence. This vast monumental square is a true open-air museum, where every building and sculpture tells the story of Florentine history, from medieval times to the heights of the Renaissance.
30 minutes
4
Ponte Vecchio
No other place in Florence embodies the city’s romantic charm and mercantile identity quite like the Ponte Vecchio. Crossing this bridge is like stepping into a timeless corner of the city, where historic shops, medieval arches, and views over the River Arno come together in an unmistakable setting.
20 minutes
5
Palazzo Pitti
Imposing and austere, Palazzo Pitti dominates the scene of the Florentine Oltrarno with its vast stone façade and severe Renaissance fortress air.

Piazza Santa Trinita
At the heart of elegant Florence lies Piazza Santa Trinita, a refined square that introduces visitors to the sumptuous Via de’ Tornabuoni—Florence’s luxury shopping street, but also a route rich in history, art, and Renaissance architecture. This part of the city is often associated with opulence and high society, yet behind the shop windows of major fashion houses lies a deep and layered historical and cultural heritage.

Piazza Santa Croce
Piazza Santa Croce, solemn and majestic, is one of the city’s most meaningful places, a symbol of spirituality, art, and civic memory. Dominated by the grand Basilica of Santa Croce, the square was for centuries the vibrant centre of Florence’s religious, political, and cultural life, hosting markets, public sermons, and solemn celebrations.
