Beatrixbrug Zaandam Centrum
The Beatrixflat, also known as the Beatrixtoren, is a notable residential building located in the centre of Zaandam, Netherlands. Constructed in 1963, it stands approximately 25 metres tall and comprises seven residential floors above two commercial levels. As the first modern high-rise in Zaandam, it symbolised the optimism of the post-war reconstruction era and has become a characteristic landmark of the city.

Monument Februaristaking 1941
The February Strike Monument in Zaandam commemorates the courageous general strike of 25–26 February 1941, when Dutch citizens protested against the Nazi persecution of Jews during World War II. Located on the balustrade of the Wilhelminasluis canal lock, near Dam Square, the monument features a small bronze sculpture group by former resistance fighter Truus Menger, depicting a worker with a bicycle, symbolizing the collective resistance of ordinary people. This poignant memorial serves as a reminder of the solidarity and bravery shown by the residents of Zaandam and other Dutch cities in standing up against oppression.

The Tsar Peter House
The Czar Peter House (Dutch: Czaar Peterhuisje) in Zaandam is one of the oldest wooden houses in the Netherlands, built in 1632. In 1697, Tsar Peter the Great of Russia stayed here during his Grand Embassy, residing incognito to study Dutch shipbuilding techniques. Today, the house is part of the Zaans Museum and can be visited, offering insights into this significant historical encounter between Russia and the Netherlands.
