Rival of the temple of Zeus at Ancient Olympia and Delphi with its famous Oracle, the Healing Center was at its time, one of the most important centers in antiquity. From the remains your guide will point out all of its revolutionary structures such as its 60 bed hospital and bath houses, to the spiritual, holistic and also surgical methods used on its patients. The site has enormous significance in the History of medicine and its emblem, the serpent entwined around a staff, was reflected in the spiritual and mythological treatment for its patients as your guide will explain and as can now be seen worldwide over the doors of modern pharmacies and doctors waiting rooms.

The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus
The Great Theater entertained patients who traveled to the healing center 2500 years ago and is famous for its structure but also for its perfect acoustics with the modern festival goers at the top tier not needing more than the soft spoken word in the center circle to travel to them perfectly. Set in a beautiful pine forest it is also a wonderfully peaceful place to experience. Its allowed and even encouraged to enter the main circle and even better if you want to recite, sing as you are sure to see others doing during your visit.
