Thingvellir National Park
Þingvellir National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwest Iceland, famed for its striking landscapes and historical significance. Nestled between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, the park boasts dramatic lava fields, Þingvallavatn lake, and the historic Alþingi, Iceland’s first parliament, established in 930 AD.
A highlight of the park is Silfra, a glacial fissure with crystal-clear waters offering unparalleled visibility, where visitors can snorkel or dive between two continents. Þingvellir’s unique blend of natural beauty, history, and adventure makes it a must-visit destination in Iceland.

Silfra
During this scuba diving adventure, you’ll explore all four sections of Silfra. The journey begins with the Silfra Deep Crack, a narrow and winding passage near the entrance. As the dive continues, the crack opens slightly into the Silfra Hall, which leads to the Silfra Cathedral—the deepest point of the dive at 22 meters (72 feet) below the surface. After the Cathedral, we head into the stunning Silfra Lagoon, the final section of the dive. At the exit platform, your guide will assist you in removing your fins, followed by a short 300-meter (984-foot) walk back to the car park. If needed, we can remove your weights or gear to make the walk easier, and there’s an option to rest at the visitor entrance along the way.
