Temple of Apollo
The Temple of Apollo at Delphi was an important religious site in ancient Greece, dedicated to the god Apollo. The temple was considered to be the center of the world and was visited by people from all over the ancient Greek world to consult the Oracle of Delphi. The original temple was built in the 7th century BCE, but was destroyed by fire and rebuilt several times over the centuries. The temple complex included the temple itself, as well as other structures such as the Treasury of the Athenians and the Stoa of the Athenians. The temple was destroyed by the Romans in the 4th century CE, but many of its ruins remain and can still be seen at the Delphi archaeological site today.
