Morning pick-up from Bodhgaya city hotels, followed by a drive to Gurpa Hill, a significant site for Buddhist and Hindu pilgrims. Known as Gurupada Giri or Kukkutpada Giri, it’s believed Lord Buddha meditated here. Upon arrival at the base, enjoy the scenic surroundings. Small shops offer refreshments, but carrying your own water and snacks is advisable. Local guides are available for hire. Begin the steep and challenging trek to the summit, passing lush greenery, rocky paths, Buddhist prayer flags, caves, and viewpoints ideal for rest and photography. At the top, explore the Mahakashyapa Cave and Stupa, where he is believed to have meditated deeply. Enjoy the peace, meditate, and take in panoramic views of Bihar’s countryside. Afterward, begin the 1.5 to 2-hour descent. Return to Bodhgaya and get dropped off at your initial pick-up location, concluding the journey.
