Mutianyu Great Wall
The Great Wall was first built during the Northern Qi Dynasty (550–577 AD) and later reinforced over 600 years ago in the early Ming Dynasty as a defense against Mongol invasions. This particular section was restored in 1988 and stretches 2.7 kilometers, featuring 20 watchtowers.
• Convenient pickup from any location in downtown Beijing, followed by a 1.5-hour scenic drive to the Great Wall.
• Ascent: A shuttle bus takes you to the mountain base, then a 5-minute cable car ride brings you up to the Wall.
• Enjoy a guided walk along the Wall for approximately 2.5 hours, exploring its history, defense systems, and the best photo spots.
• For the descent, you walk down in 20 minutes.
• Drop-off at any location back in the city to conclude your day.
