By the old horse and coach entrance to Warwick Castle, you'll hear two stories from the past.
First up is the story of Piers Gaveston, the controversial noble who was best friends with Kind Edward II. His actions resulted in him being sentenced to death, and killed, in Warwick.
Then there is Fulke Greville, the owner of Warwick Castle who made it the magnificent building it is today.
But his tight-fisted nature became his downfall, as you learn about the tragic circumstances around his death.

On this street lies the last remaining gaol cell in Warwick.
There you will hear of one murderous criminal who spent their final moments in Warwick, before being executed.
You'll then make the short journey to the very spot where the execution scaffold once stood, and hear about the terrible family who were hanged by the neck there, and what astonishing actions took place AFTER their death.

The tour ends in the market square of Warwick, which is behind Old Shire Hall and the County Courts of Warwickshire.
The final story is one of murder, insanity and witchcraft, with a cruel crime, shocking trial and some odd developments in between.
