CUSCO - KM 104 CHACHABAMBA - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

Chachabamba
* 4:30 AM – Departure from Cusco: Pick-up at your hotel for the 1.5-hour train ride to Ollantaytambo station.
* 7:30 AM – Trekking Begins: After the train ride to Km 104, check in at the Chachabamba checkpoint to begin the Inca Trail.
* Ascent to Wiñaywayna: A 3-hour hike up original Inca stairs to the archaeological site of Wiñaywayna (2,650 m), the most beautiful point on the route.
* Arrival at Intipunku: Another 1.5-hour hike to reach the Sun Gate at 2:00 PM, entering Machu Picchu like the ancient Incas.
* Machu Picchu Tour: Guided tour of the Panoramic Circuit 1B (upper trail) to capture the best photos and learn about the history of the citadel.
* * Closing in Aguas Calientes: Bus descent to the town so you can enjoy your dinner on your own and rest in your chosen hotel.
