Cotopaxi National Park
Would you like to visit the most popular volcano in Ecuador?
Departure from Quito at 8 am and destination to Cotopaxi National Park (1h30). We will make stops along the way to purchase snacks that will be of great help for the walk.

Laguna de Limpiopungo
Hiking around the Laguna Limpiopungo to achieve a better climate control before starting the ascent to the Refuge. A wide variety of species of animals and plants can be observed in the Andean paramos of Ecuador.

Cotopaxi Volcano
Once in the parking lot located at the foothills of the Cotopaxi Volcano (4600 meters - 15,091 feet), we will begin the ascent towards the José Rivas shelter (4864 meters - 15,953 feet). Inside the Refuge you will have the opportunity to buy a hot chocolate, coke tea or snacks that will be of great help to recover energy.
