Sirena Ranger Station
Day 1 – Boat to Sirena Station & Rainforest Hike
Depart from the Public Dock in Puerto Jiménez at 5:20 a.m. The 1.5-hour boat ride crosses the Golfo Dulce and Pacific coast, often revealing dolphins, sea turtles, and seabirds.
Arrive at Sirena Beach, disembark on the sand (water shoes recommended), and check in at Sirena Ranger Station. Begin your first guided walk through the rainforest in search of tapirs, monkeys, macaws, toucans, and coatis.
At 11:30 a.m., enjoy a buffet-style lunch with typical Costa Rican dishes; vegetarian and vegan options available on request.
After a short rest, continue with an afternoon hike on nearby trails, exploring river areas and open fields with frequent wildlife activity.
If weather allows, enjoy a tropical sunset before returning to the station. Dinner is offered at 6:00 p.m. as an optional service for an additional cost, followed by an overnight stay at Sirena Biological Station with shared rooms, bunk beds, mosquito nets, and solar power.
