Arad was once in the middle of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy. Germans, Hungarians, Romanians, Serbs, and Jews have lived here peacefully over the centuries and built together a culture hard to imagine anywhere else! We start from the current city hall and will go back in time to the beginning of the 20th century. Our route takes us over the Cultural Palace, home of the local philharmonics and built in several architectural styles. On the way, we will explore the multiculturality of the city through the stories of those who inhabited it.
