Chitlang is located approximately 22 kilometres to the southwest of Kathmandu. Before the opening of the Tribhuwan Rajpath, the only "On Foot Highway" to reach the southern region of Nepal, there existed CHITLANG. The only site in the world where people were once transported by motors was in the Kathmandu Valley and BHIMPHEDI (a location close to Nepal's Terai Region), where there was no road. There are numerous indications that there existed a civilized society in earlier eras. The evidence of those civilized societies may be found in the numerous temples with incredible wood and stone carving, exquisite rest homes, stone taps, and readily available inscriptions from centuries ago.

Chandragiri Hills
With spectacular views of the Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan peaks from Annapurna to Everest, the Chandragiri cable car station is where the hiking journey gets started. You can view prominent mountains including Ganesh Himal, Mount Manaslu, and Langtang Lirung from the summit of the peak, which is reached by cable car.
You will have lunch, tour the lovely Pears (Naspati) Garden after a 3–4 hour climb to Chitlang, and then visit the Shikhar Dham, Goat Cheese Factory, Ashoka Chaita, Bicharithok communal woodlands, and Bhairab temple. You'll take a village walk through a Newari tribe settlement and visit a Satdhara (a Hindu sacred place with seven ancient stone taps) in the afternoon.
After dinner, enjoy a campfire.
