We will start of with a visit to a beautiful Castle, Cawdor Castle which is linked to Shakespeare's Macbeth, but home to the magical, fairy tale castle. It dates from the late 14th century, having been built as a private fortress by the Thanes of Cawdor, with the ancient medieval tower built around the legendary holly tree - wherever you look, Cawdor Castle is steeped in intrigue and history.
A short drive from here will take us to the famous site of the last battle fought on British soil, Culloden Battlefield for visit and lunch.
