Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge
Inaugurated on December 15, 2002, the bridge quickly became another icon of Brasilia stamped on postcard, especially at night, when its theatricality is even more prominent. Because of his aesthetic qualities and environmental harmony, architect Alexandre Chan received in 2003 the Gustav Lindenthal Medal, awarded by the Society of State Engineers of Pennsylvania – USA.
