Maria-Theresien-Platz is a large public square between Ringstrasse and the Museumsquartier. Facing each other from the sides of the square are two twin buildings, the Natural History Museum and the Art History Museum. Square is decorated by the grand statue of empress Maria Theresa.

The Ringstrasse is a circular grand boulevard that serves as a road around the historic central part of Vienna.
