The tour begins with a walk through Bergenhus Fortress, the site where Bergen's history officially begins. We will walk around the outside of Håkons Hall and the Rosenkrantz Tower.

After visiting the fortress, we will walk to Bergen's UNESCO World Heritage Area, Bryggen. Here you will learn about the trading history of Bergen as we wind our way through the alleys.

We will enter the museum to visit the archaeological excavation and see the runic inscriptions and other finds from this fascinating dig.

St. Mary's Church
St. Mary's Church is the oldest building in Bergen and has a beautifully preserved medieval interior. If the church is open, we will head inside.

Fjellsiden Sør
Now it's time to. learn about everyday life! We will head into the neighbourhoods to learn about Bergen's modern life, including house prices, taxes, healthcare, education, work, and anything on your mind.

Mount Floyen and the Funicular
We leave the neighbourhoods and visit the Floibanen funicular. We will take the funicular both ways, and at the top will have spectacular views of Bergen. If the weather is bad or the queue is too long, you'll receive your tickets to use later.
