Morning entry to Tiananmen Square: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Afternoon entry: 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM.
There are 4 security check entrances for Tiananmen Square. We will send you the entrance map in advance.
Please present your original passport used for reservation at the security check. The passport number must exactly match the one used for booking.
After visiting the square, you may walk through Tiananmen Gate to the Meridian Gate (Wumen) for the Forbidden City. Security waiting times are uncertain and depend on daily conditions. During peak seasons, the wait may be 1 to 2 hours,If you prefer not to queue, you may go directly to the Forbidden City to Meridian Gate.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

The Meridian Gate (Wumen) is the only official security entrance to the Palace Museum.
Please present your original passport for ticket check. The passport number must exactly match the one used for booking.
If you visit Tiananmen Square first, you may walk through Tiananmen Gate directly to the Meridian Gate entrance.
If you do not visit the square, you may go to Donghua Gate (East Gate) first, then walk along the river to the Meridian Gate (South Gate).
The Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties and home to 24 emperors. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved ancient imperial architectural complexes in the world.
