Scout & Scholar Brewing Co.
The only brewery in the city of Bardstown. Named in honor, after William and David Bard. The land known as Bardstown today was granted to David Bard by the governor of Virginia. Originally named Salem, Settlement began in the 1770s. In 1780 William Bard, David's brother, laid out Bardstown on the site. It became the county seat when Nelson county, Virginia was formed in 1784.

Built in 1779 and located at the crossroads of the young west. The Tavern has Offered hospitality to anyone who finds their stoop. Such as Jessie James and King Louie Phillippe!
