You can design and make your own bamboo craft such as LED lantern, smartphone holder, flower base, sake bottle, sake cup, tea cup…at your own ideas! No worries if you have no experience, we will instruct you in detail how to cut and use tools to make bamboo crafts. The workshop locates in a bamboo craftsman’s house with all the equipments needed.

If you are not satisfied just by walking though bamboo forest, and want to learn more about bamboo in Arashiyama, this is a perfect opportunity where you can learn how to make a bamboo crafts by yourself! We will take you for a walk in bamboo forest in Arashiyama and explain all about mysterious plant bamboo. Then we will take you to the workshop and show you how to cut and make your own bamboo lantern.
