Ichkabal

Once a political and spiritual center, it played a key role in the formation of the ancient Mayan civilization. After many years of research and restoration, Ichkabal has recently opened to the public, offering a unique opportunity to explore a sacred site untouched by mass tourism.
The journey begins at Ichkabal, where we walk among ancient temples and plazas surrounded by lush jungle. During the hike, it’s common to spot monkeys, foxes, and colorful tropical birds that inhabit this area. This is not only a visit to an archaeological site — it’s a step back in time to experience the magic, mystery, and nature of the Mayan world.
