You'll be guided through the entire process, from preparing the raw materials to mastering various papermaking techniques, including the thick washi (tamezuki), water drop (rakusui), thin washi (nagashizuki), and washi with patterns made with washi fibers (unryu) methods, each offering a different texture and design to the paper you create. Experience the beauty of washi paper! This workshop is the most comprehensive one for you to learn washi making. You'll go through the process of making washi paper from scratch. The washi paper we make in my workshops is all handmade and will last for 1000 years. Preparation We'll start with a brief introduction, providing simple materials to explain the history and characteristics of washi paper.
